An Interview with Two Long-Term Care Ombudsmen

A podcast interview with Kaili Kuiper and Michelle Carter shines the spotlight on the important role of the Vermont Long-Term Care Ombudsman Project (VOP). VOP protects the health, welfare and rights of people who live in licensed long-term care facilities. They also help people who receive long-term care through Vermont’s Choices for Care program.

They spoke on the Community of Vermont Elders podcast about a number of topics related to this important advocacy work. This included the issues they help people with, challenges brought on by the COVID-19 pandemic and the critical shortage of professionals who care for older Vermonters.
