Vermont Legal Aid provides free civil legal services to Vermont residents. Our lawyers and paralegals:
- represent clients
- provide advice, information, forms and other helpful tools
- testify before the legislature or administrative committees and boards about how laws or rules impact Vermonters
- advocate for new protections or the enforcement of those that already exist, and
- work to correct systemic problems that adversely affect vulnerable Vermonters.
Our staff is grouped into 11 projects. We describe their work and share client stories on our project pages.
If you need legal help, learn what to do on our How to Get Help page.
