Housing Discrimination Law Project
The Housing Discrimination Law Project (HDLP) works to end housing discrimination and protect Vermonters’ right to choose where they live. We give individuals legal advice and counsel and represent victims of discrimination in federal and state courts and before government agencies. We also educate the public about fair housing law and refer victims of discrimination to agencies that investigate fair housing violations. And we advocate with Vermont’s land use and housing policy makers for inclusive communities that make fair housing choice a reality.
We envision a just, inclusive and equitable Vermont where housing discrimination does not exclude anyone or limit opportunity. We work to create open, inclusive communities and advocate for every person’s right to live free from discrimination in the Vermont community they choose.
